5 tips to maximise results

1. Hydrate


Did you know your body is actually about 60 percent water? Therefore for your body and mind to function effectively, you MUST ensure you are always sufficiently hydrated, especially in this hot climate. The aim is to consume at least 3 liters of water per day, and no, unfortunately coffee and soft drink/juices do NOT count as adequate hydration. By staying hydrated you can also expect to:


    • Have more energy

    • Maintain and promote weight loss

    • Flush out toxins in your body and aids in detoxification

    • Improve skin complection

    • Act as a natural headache remedy

    • Helps de-stress you

    • Boosts immune system



2.  Sleep More


Research from the University of Pennsylvania has found even just a few nights of sleep deprivation can lead to almost immediate weight gain. So are you getting enough sleep?? Some tips that will help you maximize your snooze periods are as follows:


    • Get to bed on time, no more late nights

    • Aim for 7 to 8 hours sleep every night

    • Keep your sleeping routine constant

    • Create a comfortable sleeping environment

    • Sleep in a dark room, invest in some black out blinds

    • Fall asleep to a book rather than the TV



3.  Change your Fuel 


Small changes to your diet and nutrition can go a long way. Not only in the way you look and feel but also how energized you are. Give processed food, unhealthy takeaways, boozy benders, and sugary drinks the kick and get back to the basics of good wholesome healthy and delicious food; food from nature.




4.  Stress less


In our modern society negative stress is almost unavoidable. Work stress, family stress and even just getting stuck in traffic, we all encounter stress at some point in our daily lives. Chronic stress plays a large role in all major lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, obesity/weight gain, heart disease and certain cancers. If you're feeling stressed and tired or even if you’re not, your body and mind will benefit from incorporating some of these tips into your daily routine:

MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!!! Find a balance, do things you love, move, play, hit the gym, join a sporting group, pick up a new hobby, fall in love with an extreme sport, have fun!!​


    • Be consistent with your exercise routine

    • Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you don’t know how to maximise results. Small changes in your regime can and do go a long way

    • Don’t be afraid of lifting weights. Include a resistant training program into your training schedule.
